Shipping to the US by early summer

The Federal Communications Commission seems to have been quite busy lately, approving Nokia's newest additions to the NSeries, the N76 and the N95.

The Nokia N95 is a mobile phone that includes close to all the features one would want in a handset. It comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, integrated GPS functionality, a map application that includes maps for over 100 countries, music and video playing capabilities combined with an interesting design and music dedicated control keys, 3.5 mm jack that allows the user to listen to music on whatever headphones he/she prefers, a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion, stereo speakers and support for HSPDA, high-speed mobile networks.

The mobile phone has become popular already and it hasn't even started shipping yet, so chances are that many people will be considering getting themselves one.

There's no telling when this phone will start shipping. It is expected to come out on the market soon, given the FCC approval it has just received, but in any case it shouldn't be much later than early summer.

There is currently no information on what carriers will be offering the N95 in the US, and there's also the possibility that Nokia may decide to avoid the carriers and simply sell it directly through its new retail storefront.

Either way, the N95 should be heading to the US soon enough. In the UK, on the other hand, it may start shipping as early as March and after two weeks of exclusivity it will also head on to other parts of Europe.
