Although he's not sure if he's going to run in the 2008 elections (it's not up to him anyway), Al Gore is busy fighting for the environment, if at all possible. He attracted some media attention with his ongoing struggle to raise awareness to ecological issues such as global warming and carbon neutrality. He also presented a very successful documentary entitled "An Inconvenient Truth" about the same themes.

Most recently, he helped organize a series of concerts throughout the world, under the banner "Live Earth", shows that gathered a "ton" of legendary artists in a united struggle "for the planet". Of course these events also generated a lot of controversy and publicity for the American politician and former vice-president, dividing the people in half, while some think he's a revolutionary in the matters of environmentalism, and the first politician to publicly take a stand about such issues, other may think that he's using these popular topics (which himself helped popularize) boost his public appeal.

Mr. Gore also has a rather large family, consisting in a wife, four children and two grand-children. Recently, he added a new member to his "clan" as his youngest daughter got married on Saturday in Beverly Hills. Sarah, age 28, married businessman Bill Lee, the wedding being followed by a very nice party, according to some guests. Attending the wedding was documentary producer Jeff Skoll, who was also the best man and who produced the "Inconvenient Truth". During the toasts, some guests started joking about how global warming, as tragic as it may seem, brought Sarah and Bill together.

Other prominent attendees at the wedding included his son-in-law Dr. Andrew N. Schiff (the great-grandson of financier and industrialist Jacob Schiff) and the other son-in-law, district director Paul Cusack, plus some other influential people and known politicians. It looks to me as Mr. Gore is starting to gather his forces for either some new media stunt or, maybe, a campaign?
