It seems that joining forces with one of the world's leading luxury cars, namely Jaguar, was not by far enough for one of the world's and Britain's leading loudspeaker manufacturers, Bowers & Wilkins. Finding no rest, not only have Bowers & Wilkins kept on developing their art sound but have just proudly announced the re-issue of one of their most loved and successful loudspeaker
series, the 600.

For more than a decade, the speakers in the 600 series have captivated and enthralled people around the globe and have grown to be the best-selling units from the English producer.

Now, after four years of "silence", the 600 are back with a bang: sporting the same aristocratic look, loaded with more and better-sounding technology, more coveted and with even more prestige - there is nothing changed in the class and stylish presence of the 600 series loudspeakers from Bowers & Wilkins and it's most likely that these fresh speakers will even surpass the popularity and success of the initial model.

The new Bowers & Wilkins 600 series comes with no less than 10 (yes, ten) new boxes that also come in 3 pre-arranged home theater systems, one niftier than the other.

The 600 series comprises the 683 and 684 large-cabinet floorstanders, the 685 and 686 bookshelf models with optional stands, the HTM 61 and HTM62 center channel loudspeakers, the DS3 surround speaker and no less than 3 subwoofers: the ASW610XP, ASW610 and the smaller ASW608. The home theater codenames are 683 Theatre, 684 Theatre and 685 Theatre, out of obvious reasons - each of these packs is based on a different choice of speakers, the main ones giving the name.

As for the final tech details, the new Bowers & Wilkins 600 series sports the same woven material for woofer cones they've been using since '74, the Flowport bass vents looking like a golf ball, Mundorf crossovers, Kevlar composites, mushroom-design and Nautilus tapering tubes.
