As pyramids are a legend by themselves, it's now time to mix in another legend, Bang & Olufsen. It looks that they have finally revealed the mystery that surrounds their newest creation, a new pyramid-shaped loudspeaker. The Bang & Olufsen name is known throughout industrial history as a synonym to the most advanced pieces of high-end technology and for spearheading the overall progress in so many directions as far as multimedia is concerned; meaningless things from the Danish gang haven't been released and the new BeoLab 4 is no
difference.

The BeoLab 4 is a pyramid loudspeaker, a true Hi-Fi one that embeds utmost design with unrivaled versatility and avantgarde allure. This pyramidal loudspeaker sports a completely different shape from what we've been used so far and even more, changing color is as easy as one two three: it sports multiple covers in straightforward vivid colors also met in the other new series from Bang &Olufsen.

The BeoLab 4 will "go" anywhere, no matter whether we're speaking about bookshelves, tabletop, wall-mounting or - why not - hanging from the ceiling. As far as technology is concerned, the BeoLab 4 sports a computer-source mode, being able to optimize the sound according to the specs fed by the computer and thus obtaining the best possible performance.

Even more, the BeoLab 4 is an active loudspeaker and its Class D power amp inside the pyramid provides tremendous response: 35W bass and 35W treble, all the way from 50 to 20,000Hz, in bass-reflex architecture. While the woofer is a 4" concave voice coil driver, the tweeter sports a 3/4" fabric dome for smooth and lifelike operation.

Designed by David Lewis, the BeoLab 4 will work wirelessly with your iPod player but via the miniplug jack you'll be able to connect any other source, fixed or mobile. The price is to be announced, until then, enjoy the pics.
