TeamBreker puts another original Apple computer on auction with high hopes

On November 16, AuctionTeamBreker will be offering a new, state-of-the-art Apple 1 Compute in pristine condition, complete with its original white cardboard box, estimated to fetch no less than €250.000 – €400.000 / $300,000 – $500,000.

This particular Apple 1 is numbered "46" and comes from the first batch of 50 computers by Apple's first client, the Byte Shop.

According to the organizers, “‘No. 46’ is one of very few »Apple 1s« still in working order […] as well as the only known example in its original box!”

In a rare photo of Jobs’ parental house, a stack of boxes of the first 50 units is shown. One of those boxes likely contained this very computer.

AuctionTeamBreker amusingly notes that, “Although 500.000 Euro/670,000 US$ for a computer that does not even have the internet may seem staggering, the »Apple 1« phenomenon has had a steady build-up. Early model »Apple Computers« have been changing hands privately for many years but have only lately started to appear at public auctions.”

Indeed, finding one of these in working condition is rare enough. Getting one that could still have a Steve Wozniak fingerprint is more than you could ask for, as a collector.
