Gamers will also get access to more playlists

The development team at 343 Industries and Microsoft announce that they are enabling the Rumble playlist in the Halo 2: Anniversary title, which is part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection package, even as they are currently working on a number of new updates for the title.

The new playlist is designed to expand the sort of experiences that fans can access, and at the moment a maximum of 10 players can take part and there’s no ranking included.

Apparently, 343 Industries is using the current version of the Halo 2: Anniversary Rumble to test a few ideas and will move to an 8 player max structure and will enable ranked play as soon as a few matchmaking problems are eliminated.

It’s unclear at the moment if the developers are aiming to continue adding more playlists to Halo: The Master Chief Collection or if there are plans to focus on big updates for the coming weeks.

Right now, the studio is happy with the progress that the Xbox One title has made since launch, with the latest content update apparently having a big impact on matchmaking, which should now be running more smoothly for most of the community.

At the same time, 343 Industries tells gamers in an update that they should set their NAT to Open in order to increase their chance of getting into a match, and the official post explains that Apple Airport users have more problems than usual.

They are advised to go to the Network tab in their Airport Utility program and check “Allow Teredo tunnels.”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is important to Microsoft

Both 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft claim that they are sorry for the problems that Halo: The Master Chief Collection had on launch and are working hard to eliminate all of them as quickly as possible.

The developers add, “Our data shows that the CU improved things statistically, but we are aware that far too many are not seeing improvements. We continue to work on these issues, with our primary focus being on matchmaking performance. Additionally, we also noticed that the CU inadvertently introduced some new UI bugs, which will be fixed shortly.”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection allows gamers to get into the beta testing period for Halo 5: Guardians, which is at the moment set to arrive on December 29 and includes multiplayer content.

Fans can also currently watch the Halo Nightfall live-action series, which introduces the new character Agent Locke.
