In case you weren't aware of the full list of characteristics of the Office 2007 System, you should know that the productivity suite from Microsoft is nothing short of magic. Well, at least Visio isn't. The Redmond company applauded the integration of Office Visio 2007 among the "Leaders" quadrant in the 2007 Magic Quadrant for Business Process Analysis (BPA) Tools, 2H07-1H08 report put together by analyst firm Gartner. In this sense, Microsoft is recognized as one of the top providers of business process management (BPM) software. Office Visio 2007 is a essentially a BPM product designed to enable the streamlining of visualization and transmission of complex data.

Office Visio 2007 will deal with communicating and exploring information, processes and services in corporate environments. "Business process analysis tools continue to grow in importance as business managers, process architects and process analysts seek to better understand, streamline and automate their business processes, and communicate their needs to IT professionals," stated Michael J. Blechar, Gartner analyst.

Microsoft offers two flavors of Office Visio 2007: the Standard and the Professional edition. Both offer an easy way to transform amalgams of textual data into drawings and diagrams, a translation process that will ultimately deliver efficiency to monitoring, workflow and management activities. With Visio 2007, Microsoft offers users a tool to perform graphical representations of complex volumes of information that would otherwise be difficult to manage or navigate through.

"As businesses look more and more to process improvements as a core driver of growth and profitability, they made it clear that they want an easier way to analyze their processes, many of which are already captured in Office Visio 2007 diagrams," said Richard Wolf, general manager of the Office Graphics Division at Microsoft. "This led us to focus Office Visio 2007 on integrating and displaying process, system and activity data directly in Office Visio 2007 diagrams for easier exploration and understanding."
