The Machine Apocalypse Is Upon Us

One cannot simply look at this video and not think about a future where Terminator-style flying robots soar through the sky, enslaving humans for some obscure purpose. Experts at the University of Pennsylvania GRASP Lab were obviously oblivious to this when they create their new quadrotors.

These machines are excellent at flying on their own, but apparently fare even better thanks to the new formation-flight algorithms the team developed. If you browse through the video, you'll see them negotiating obstacles with extreme ease.

They can also balance themselves perfectly, even when experts throw them in the air propellers down. The noise they make sounds like it came of a nightmare you did not know you have. Seeing so much precision in the way they move is bound to send shivers down anyone's spine.

So, what do you think, are our overlords one step closer to being created?
