Less than a day into the release of a report featuring Apple as the centerpiece (Global Multi-Touch Market 2011-2016), Research and Markets has announced the addition yet another report to their portfolio - "SSD Insights - The Catalyst"

SSD Insights - The Catalyst examines Apple's relatively recent developments on the notebook front.

Research and Markets has a particular focus on the MacBook Air as of late, and they’re trying to determine its implications for the SSD (solid state drive) market.

The marketing intelligence firm says that, “In the enterprise, SSDs continued on a positive trend with growth in SATA, FC/SAS and PCIe shipments in both the server and storage array.” They suggest Apple will play a key role in these areas in the near future.

The report covers Vendor Status; MacBook Air Announcement; Ultra-thin Notebooks; Q4 vs. Q3 Forecast; and a few word about tablets. For whoever’s interested in the results of their research, visit the company here to grab the full report.
