Designed by Designworks USA, the case is winning people over fast

Uncanny case designs that strike the perfect balance between unusual looks and utility are so rare on the desktop case market that every boutique maker of PCs is likely to use them, like iBuyPower just did.

The maker of custom-configured gaming systems chose the M8 enclosure that was designed by BMW Group Designworks USA and manufactured by Asrock.

The iBuyPower system is made with performance in mind, but the company invested time into visual “awesomeness” as well.

Of course, the M8 covers most of the aesthetic value on its own, but the insides add some to the allure, thanks to the octogonal side window.

"It's interesting to see BMW, one of the leaders in the automotive industry, apply its design expertise to PC gaming and fuse it into a sophisticated and competitive system," said Darren Su, co-founder and VP of iBuyPower.

"iBuyPower is proud to be the first to feature the M8 as part of its extensive lineup."

The M8 system is equipped with the latest CPUs and GPUs from Intel, Advanced Micro Devices, and NVIDIA (just graphics cards).

Storage is customizable as well, and so is the memory capacity, as allowed by whatever mini-ITX motherboard is installed inside.

The iBuyPower M8 gaming machines are good for anyone who wants to attend LAN parties but doesn't feel like lugging around their huge, tower desktops.

In addition to the motherboard, memory, PSU, and storage compartments, the M8 has space for an optical disk drive and a single PCI Express x16 graphics card. The large, high-end boards won't fit inside though. The best AMD board is AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB, while the strongest NVIDIA card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 – 2GB.

The iBuyPower M8 gaming system will be available for a long time, but a quick buy might be best if you're in the market for such a thing. iBuyPower is offering some really nice Halloween discounts (starting price $999 / €999).
