The annual ceremony, now at its eighth edition, that honors teen-friendly stars from music, fashion, sports, television and cinema will be co-hosted this year by Jessica Simpson. The awards will be handed on August 20, in a live show to be aired on Fox, and the male co-host for Jessica will be announced on a later date.
Simpson is herself nominated for three categories, 'Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon', 'Choice Hottie' and 'Choice Movie Breakout Performance' for her part in 'The Dukes of Hazard' box-office hit.
Her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, has also one nomination for 'Choice Male Hottie', while his latest fling, MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo, is up for 'Choice TV Personality'.
This surely seems to result in a pretty dramatic and/or ridiculous scene, so stay tuned.
In another order of ideas, Jessica seems to allow herself to be more and more involved in various projects and, through them; she seems to be on the rising scale to total success. Her latest movie, a romantic comedy called 'Employee of the Month' is scheduled for release on September 15, while her long expected music album, 'Public Affair', will be available in music stores starting with August 29.
