The 48-year-old Irish-American dancer is in hospital due to a very sever overall infection that aggravated over the last couple of days, various media outlets inform. After being diagnosed with facial skin cancer, the man who brought new meaning to the term 'dance', went through a very troublesome period of heavy drinking and depression but, recently, he insisted that both his cancer and his other issues have been solved.

'He has an allover infection, which has been attacking every part of his body. He has been in hospital for a few days after complaining of feeling weak at home in London. His condition deteriorated and he was rushed to hospital. It looks like he won't be able to dance for another three months', a source told the media.

Apparently, Flatley had been complaining about pains and discomfort for a long time but it was only recently that he began having problems breathing. His wife became really concerned and, after he collapsed at their London house, he was rushed to the hospital where he remains under observation.

The dancer's publicist confirmed that his client is 'ill', without specifying exactly what it is that he's suffering from. However, all tour dates have been canceled, via a statement made by the promoters of 'Celtic Tiger'. 'Celtic Tiger Touring Inc has canceled all European dates for Celtin Tiger starring Michael Flatley due to serious illness', the statement on the official website read.
