Snake, the popular video and mobile game that absolutely every gamer played at least once in their life, has reached now its most advanced version: Snake Subsonic, presented by Nokia and available on the N-Gage website, in the Showroom section (found at this address).

Although the new game was announced back in the summer of 2007, only now did it get the chance to be released because the launch of the N-Gage platform was delayed several times.

Together with the release of Snake Subsonic, Nokia also came with a cool campaign called "Get out and Play". This campaign gathered more than one thousand people who created a "human snake" that wandered around Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and which is captured in the stop-motion film that bears the same name as the campaign. The main idea of the film was to showcase the easy and at the same time captivating gameplay that Snake Subsonic brings.

You can see the video with the "giant snake" either on the "Get Out and Play" website, at this address, or in the YouTube video posted below. The viewing quality is obviously better on "Get Out and Play" and you even get behind-the-scenes footage there.

Having a history of about 30 years, the game that we now simply call "Snake" was ported to about any existent platform, under various names. The latest from the series, Snake Subsonic, is the seventh one put by Nokia in its phones. The other six versions, including the old ones, from the first monochrome Nokia handsets, are: Snake, Snake II, Snake Xenzia, Snake EX, Snake EX2, Snakes 3D and Snake III 3D.

With stylish graphics, puzzle elements and the promise of a fun experience, Snake Subsonic seems to be not only the newest, but also the best from the series. Therefore, fans of Snake or not, all gamers should give it a try.
