Disney had a lot of teasing to do during the Super Bowl 2013 commercial break and “Oz the Great and Powerful” wasn’t the only movie it pushed on the occasion. Above is the extended TV spot for “The Lone Ranger.”
Starring Jonny Depp and Armie Hammer as two unlikely allies in the fight against injustice, “The Lone Ranger” will be out in July this year.
Movie buffs will know that the film got some negative hype while it was still under production, but all that seems to be water under the bridge now, looking at reactions online to the new trailer.
“The Lone Ranger” also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson, William Fichtner and Barry Pepper, and is directed by Gore Verbinski. Jerry Bruckheimer is credited as producer.
