We announced you on August 19 that 90 Australian companies received a letter that informed them about a $5,000 license fee which
should be paid for using Linux software.


The information got distorted along the way, the news having nothing to do with the Linux software. The 90 Australian companies were using the Linux trademark, without permission, and that is the only reason why they've received the letters.

The Linux software is still free of charge and there is no information that this will change.
