The Linux Games Available on Steam

The Beta version of Steam for Linux was announced last evening, November 6, by Valve, only for the Ubuntu operating system.

At the moment, Steam for Linux comes with 24 games, so we thought it would be a good idea to list them in an article.

Without further ado, here are the Linux games made available in Steam for Linux (you can click on each one to see its description, screenshots and gameplay video):

And about Counter Strike, will not we have it for Linux too?

Probably the new version, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive :) We will inform people when it's available on Steam!

Also waiting for CS. Although, i'm sure we will see it in the future since I read that they are working on other Source games for Linux Steam.

This image shows 42 games for Linux not 24... maybe they added some since your post?

Those are the user's games aka your Steam library, which includes all the games bought via Steam (some of them are for other operating systems).

I thoughtt I read somewhere that Left4Dead was ported to Linux... Maybe just in my fantasies.

Yes, but this is only the closed beta, no all the games all avaliable yet...

Give it time...eventually it will probably get ported... They need to start somewhere...I hear Arch users are attempting to use it.
