Despite his many professional achievements, few people know who Jermaine Jackson actually is. If he were to go by his current name, Muhammad Abdul Aziz, he would be even less known than he is now. However, Jermaine will probably remain for many the brother of pop king Michael Jackson, no matter what he did with his life or not.
As it happens, Jermaine's latest public appearance got many journalists singing his praise for the way he managed to steer away from controversy and his attempts to play down a scandal that held the front stage for weeks in the press. He was the first star to enter the 'Big Brother' house for the latest season of the British celebrity version of the show. All throughout his stay, Jermaine made it a point of not getting mixed up in the racial scandal that eventually sent bully Jade Goody for a walk and Shilpa Shetty to the peak of her fame.

After he exited the house, Jermaine, a Muslim since the '80s, spoke about his brother. We must not forget that his attitude towards Michael has been, in time, more than fickle: first he openly attacked him both in the media and in his songs for wanting to change the color of his skin, then he came to his defense as he was charged with child abuse, then he lashed back at him and so on and so forth.
Now, Jermaine wants to get back in Michael's good graces and the best way he knows how to do that is to give him life tips via the media. 'Michael, I feel, needs to become a Muslim because I think it's a great protection for him from all the things that he's been attacked with, which are false. There's a strength and protection there', he said.
Jermaine is now living in Bahrain and apparently, he has had long talks with his brother, in the view of convincing him to turn Muslim. 'I was the reason why he had gone there because I wanted him to get out of America and just go somewhere it's peaceful and quiet and people pray five times a day which is beautiful.', Jermaine explained.
Michael and his publicist were not to be found for comment. According to various sources, the singer is now back in the US, in a final bid to resurrect his music career.
