The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Hints and Cheats (Wii)

Tips for getting the max out of Link's quest

The Wii has arrived! It's not alone, as one of the best and most acclaimed games ever accompanies it. We're talking about 50 to 60 hours of solid gameplay. If you're speeding to finish Twilight Princess, you won't get a ticket and if you've become a Zelda expert you might finish the game in 15 hours or so. If you're the kind of guy that wants to discover every secret and unlock every chest, you'll even reach 120 hours of gameplay. The secrets and minigames are so many that you can't cover them all. A little help never hurts, though.

The last boss was a real pain, I must admit that, so here is a dirty trick to finish him off:

When you're fighting Ganondorf (the last form, the 4th), just walk around and make sure you Z-target him. Then just use the fishing rod like you'd normally would. Ganondorf will stop moving and look at the bobber. Then he leaves his defense open, and you can easily strike him.

Did Zelda seem like an easy game? Let's try the Hard mode... Oups, there's no such thing. OK, we'll create one by playing the game with the wooden
sword equipped. Here's how it's done:

1.- Get the slingshot.

2.- Do the glitch to cross the door on the bridge to go to Faron.

3.- Get Epona and jump the fence.

4.- Go to the forest temple.

5.- Free the boy and the monkey with the help of the bokoblins and then kill them with the slingshot.

6.- Continue the game as normal but WITHOUT getting the sword. When you are human Link again go and pick the sword.

I dont know how long will the sword last, because a wooden sword will break sooner or later.

Did you get the silver rupees? I bet you forgot to do that and you'll need as many coins as possible if you want to unlock everything. Those are the places where you can find silver rupees:

1: Inside the bell that's on top of Renado's house. Get it by shooting a bomb arrow inside the bell and use wolf Link to get up.

2: In the first room of Hyrule Castle.

3: In the room right from the boss door in Hyrule Castle. How to get: go were Rusl saved you and look around, then go back were the boss door is and turn right. There will be chests everywhere and you should look in all of them.

You also get a silver rupee if you get the max score on the flying game where you collect the fruit. The player needs to get 20/20 strawberries which should give them a score of over 60,000.

Missed any Poe? Go to Lake Hylia and find them at these locations:

- 3 in the long twisty cave

- 1 on the treasure island thing

- 1 up by the tower

- 1 directly beneath the "flight by fowl" house

- 1 on the far west end of the lake

- 1 up on a southern legde that you have to make a series of jumps to

Speaking of which, let's talk about a glitch (quite a rhyme, isn't it?). You have to kill the Poe just as night changes to day and you can use the glitch to do other stuff too. If you're in water you can go up like a rocket, you can kill the same Poe twice but the game only counts one Poe too. This works on any Poe that's in a place where time passes.

Complete rollgoal minigame level 1-5:

Usually, I have the ball roll DOWN to the goal - that way I can leave my hand at the same angle, and all I have to do is rotate the camera to turn corners. Makes the process nice and fluid. Try to learn to stop as soon as you come out of it, the next few levels will challenge you to that (that's right - about 10mm of stopping distance out of a ramp!)

There's stuff to find out even in the ending sequence of a game. There are secrets hidden in the credits, modifications which are visible only for the Zelda aficionados and things you might have missed after beating the ending boss:

If you pay attention during the credits, you'll notice that when it shows Colin on a bridge with a sword and shield on his back, they are backward compared with Link's gear, and since Link is right-handed in the Wii version, this means Colin is left-handed. Also, if you beat a dungeon, then return to the boss room, the option to talk to Midna disappears and she will be waiting for you in the middle of the room to warp you out as if you had just killed the boss. Finally, if you beat the cave of ordeals, then beat Ganon and watch the credits, fairies are shown when there is a scene showing one of the springs.

I dont have the game for the Wii but for the gamecube and i thought of it as a great game but too many ways to beat the games with cheats and glitches. I found about 6 out of 10 cheats while playing through the game. One thing I'd like to let you in on is that if you transform from wolf to link during the transfer from day to night you will turn into a shadow beast for the day!

There is a hidden glitch thats very hard to do i found it by shear luck...When fighting Dark Beast Ganon, if you run at the blue circle just before he emerges and attack you will enter the circle and you will become the Dark beast fighting Wolf Link! The only downsides are the Dark Beast's attacks resemble the wolf's so there is nothing new (you won't be able to go into those circles and hide like the Dark Beast usually does), if you beat Wolf Link as the Dark Beast you will get Game Over (Common, the good guy has to win) and this glitch is nearly impossible to do so keep trying even if you get Game Over a few times because it's worth it...

You guys keep posting.. Oh turning into Shadow Beast and Go into the purple circle, friggin retarded.. Stop lying and nobody cares. If you cant get the wooden shield.. or sword.. just stop now, don't play, you will fail miserably.. It's Ocarina of Time not, Ocorina :D

I love to rant!

Question: In Link's house, there is a sheet hanging on a wall, above the ladder to the cellar. If you look carefully at it, there is an arrow pointing up. If you look up, there is a trap door open in the roof...but I can't get up there! Not with the claw shot or anything? What am I missing?
