Video game publisher and hardware maker Nintendo has announced that it has teamed up with the creators of the Penny Arcade series of comics in order to create a special series linked to the launch of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

The first chapter of the new comic series is now available on the official site and includes characters and concepts linked to the game, presented in mix of the game art style and the distinctive sensibilities of the Penny Arcade team.

Mike Krahulik, one of the two artists behind the Penny Arcade comics, stated, “I was 14 when I first played The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.”

He added, “That was 20 years ago, and today I am introducing my son to The Legend of Zelda. The opportunity to work with Nintendo to create a Zelda comic is not only an incredible honor, but quite literally a childhood dream come true.”

Skywars Sword will be available on the Nintendo Wii on November 20.
