A nice update comes from EVGA today, as we can now offer you the newest BIOS for their X79 series motherboards. All three boards in said category receive revision 28 of the BIOS, bringing forth a lot of updates.
These new fixes promise better stability and increased performance from your boards, in either normal or overclocked mode. One of the nicest things in this version is the improved layout of the BIOS; it looks like some cleanup was needed, and we welcome it.
On the other hand, the "star" of this release is the Turbo Mode: while sporting increased functionality, the Auto option has been added for Turbo Offsets. LED errors in S3 mode have also been corrected, and the correct CPU multiplier is displayed in the Overview page.
