A few different retailers in North America have seemingly pinned a June 20 release date onto The Last of Us Remastered for the PlayStation 4, despite Sony not confirming a launch day just yet for its upcoming title.

The Last of Us amazed tens of millions of PS3 owners worldwide with a great mix between a story-based single-player campaign and an addictive multiplayer mode that emphasized not just skill but also strategy and teamwork.

Developer Naughty Dog has finally confirmed, after many rumors, that The Last of Us is being remastered for the PlayStation 4 console and will appear this summer.

Unfortunately, it didn't offer a concrete release date, so fans are still anxious to know when the game will be re-released.

According to three different retailers, Target, GameFly, and Best Buy, The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 is going to appear on June 20. While it's not excluded that at least one store just entered a placeholder date, seeing as how all three have the same day, it's quite possible that this is the official word from Sony.

As of right now, the company hasn't confirmed or commented on the possible release of The Last of Us Remastered for the PS4.
