The Last of Us Remastered for the PS4 will get a special day-one patch later this month that includes a special screenshot tool similar to the photo mode of Infamous: Second Son.

The Last of Us delivered a stunning experience in terms of gameplay and story last year on the PS3 console. However, its visuals weren't that great due to the old age of the device, so Naughty Dog decided to overhaul the game and bring it to the much more powerful PS4.

The result is The Last of Us Remastered, which is set to debut at the end of the month for the new console.

Alongside the game there will also be a day-one update, according to Polygon, which has talked with Naughty Dog's Eric Monacelli about the special patch.

Apparently, it will bring a new screenshot tool that's quite similar to the photo mode seen in Infamous: Second Son earlier this year on the PS4.

The game already allows for players to turn off the heads-up display and take great screenshots using the DualShock 4 Share button, but the special photo mode offers way more freedom when it comes to manipulating angles and other things.

It's unclear what other things will be a part of the day-one patch for The Last of Us Remastered on the PS4.
