A set of new teasers have unveiled a new PlayStation 3 exclusive, called The Last of Us, which is set to be officially unveiled at the VGA ceremony that is set to take place during December 10.

The teasers show a number of real world natural disasters while a narrator talks up the pleasures of a simpler life, one which is now apparently inaccessible to him.

The game website also serves up an image of an ant which is apparently linked to a documentary created by the BBC, called Planet Earth, where an episode talks about a fungus that destroys ant colonies by actually infecting and then destroying their brains from the inside out.

It’s not clear what studio is handling the development of The Last of Us or when it might be launched.

The VGA ceremony will also witness the reveal of a new game from BioWare, probably Command & Conquer, and more information on a new Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Alan Wake.
