The Last of Us is set to receive its first story-based DLC in early 2014 in the form of The Last of Us: Left Behind, which brings back Ellie from the regular campaign and adds a new AI-controlled partner in the form of a girl named Riley.

The Last of Us delivered a stunning experience on PS3 back in June, bringing a great single-player campaign that focused on Joel and Ellie, but also an addictive multiplayer that emphasized survival at all costs.

After launching several different new items and modes for the online mode, developer Naughty Dog has confirmed in the PS4 All Access live stream that a new DLC is coming, in the form of Left Behind.

The add-on received a small teaser trailer showing Ellie and a new girl called Riley discovering an abandoned carousel.

The DLC is out in early 2014 for The Last of Us on PS3. Until then, check out the trailer above.
