14 DAY TRIAL // Naughty Dog is releasing some new DLC content this week for their hit PlayStation 3 exclusive zombie survival shooter The Last of Us.
The game has received universal acclaim for its gripping story and engaging gameplay, and the company is currently working on bringing a remastered version of The Last of Us to the PlayStation 4, with a release window of Q3/Q4 2014.
The third and final drop in The Last of Us season pass, the upcoming add-ons bring new trophies and a mix of both single and multiplayer content, as detailed on the PlayStation Blog.
Grounded Mode will deliver the hardest challenge yet, as players try to complete the game's single-player campaign with a much more improved AI. Enemies are relentless, brutal, and smarter than ever, making survival nearly impossible.
As such, "Completed Grounded Mode" is shaping up to be one of the most difficult trophies that players will ever earn.
The Reclaimed Territories Map Pack features four new maps, Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine and Water Tower. Each of the maps has a mix of Trophies attached, and is set in a location that will feel both familiar and new to players of The Last of Us' single-player campaign. Players will have to make smart use of climbing, flanking and stealth in order to master the new maps.
The upcoming DLC pack also comes with some new guns, as well as with some new survival skills, available to try before committing to a purchase, as part of the new pre-set loadouts. The Survivalist Weapon Bundle comes with four new weapons, Specter, Double Barrel, Enforcer and Launcher, each gun having uniquely balanced attributes so as to offer new play styles to fit in the existing Factions gameplay.
Furthermore, Naughty Dog is adding two skill bundles, the Situational Survival Skills Bundle and the Professional Survival Skills Bundle, offering ways to enhance the entire gameplay experience.
All of the above are available for free to owners of the Season Pass, or have to otherwise be purchased separately. Additionally, everyone, including non-season pass holders, will be getting a new gun, the Full-Auto Rifle, for free.
The new gun is a modified burst rifle capable of fully automatic fire, very easy to use and a perfect fit for gamers who are new to Factions, as well as for experts who can make good use of its fire power.
The final DLC pack for The Last of Us becomes available today, and Naughty Dog has released a new trailer to showcase the additions, highlighting the maps, weapons and skills.
