The Last of Us Gets New Trailer and Screenshots

Sony premiered a brand new video for its upcoming The Last of Us survival game, this time showing off another dramatic encounter and hinting at the dark past of the main protagonist, Joel.

The Last of Us tells the story of Joel and Ellie, who must travel across a post-apocalyptic environment filled with human raiders, the military, and different mutants.

We have already seen a lot of videos and screenshots with the new title and now, during Gamescom 2012, Sony has revealed a new trailer for the game, as well as a series of images depicting Joel, Ellie, and their struggle for survival.

What’s more, the video, which depicts another ambush by human raiders, features a small confession from Joel, alluding at a dark past in which he was also a bandit.

Expect to hear more details about the game’s story as we get closer to its release at the beginning of next year. Until then, check out the video above and the gallery below.
