Naughty Dog, the studio behind the Uncharted series who's now getting ready to debut The Last of Us, is still confident in the PlayStation 3 console and believes it's an “exceptional piece of hardware.”

Sony revealed to the world the first details about the PlayStation 4 back in February, and many fans are already planning to trade in their PS3s.

That would be a mistake, at least according to The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog, as it believes the console is still “an exceptional piece of hardware” and that it's continuing to “find new ways to push” its hardware.

According to the studio's Ricky Cambier, who talked with GamesTM magazine, via TSC, Naughty Dog has found ways of pushing the PS3 that it hasn't even seen in other games, so the console is still very relevant despite its upcoming successor.
