A Sony representative form Turkey has apparently confirmed that The Last of Us, the hugely popular PS3 game of last year, will appear for the PlayStation 4 this summer, both digitally and at retail stores.

The Last of Us impressed millions of PS3 owners worldwide with a touching story, a dynamic survival-oriented take on gameplay, and a pretty great multiplayer.

Now, it seems that a PS4 edition is, in fact, coming soon.

The confirmation came straight from a Sony official, Sercan Sulun, PlayStation's Eurasia Software Marketing Manager, who talked with Multiplayer and confirmed that a PS4 version of The Last of Us is set to debut this summer.

The confirmation came after a denial of a potential The Last of Us 2 sequel, and he revealed that the PS4 edition of the survival game would come with all the DLC released for the PS3 version, including the Left Behind story expansion.

The Last of Us for PS4 will appear both digitally via the PlayStation Network and in retail stores on a Blu-ray disc.

As of yet, Sulun's reveal hasn't been confirmed with an official announcement from Sony itself, so take this with a small grain of salt until we hear more about it.

Update: Sony has commented on the announcement saying that it doesn't have anything to confirm, but it doesn't deny it either.
