Square Enix announces that its latest role playing game, The Last Remnant, is set to receive significant new content via digital download. The DLC is pretty big and the company is scheduled to offer it to players pretty quickly in an effort to attract new sales and to convince those who have the game to hang on to it. The new DLC is coming to the Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live service and dates are different depending on what subscription option the player has opted for.

The first piece of new content, called Purgatory's Sins, is already out for those who have an Xbox Live Gold membership, while Silver subscribers will get it on December 8. The DLC will be free and those who get it will be able to undertake extremely tough tasks from the in game guild, which are aimed at top level players.

On the same dates players will get The Key to Ancient Ruins, which offers the possibility to unlock and explore the Ancient Ruins, discovering what happens behind those locked doors.

On December 15 players are set to gain access to another piece of DLC, called the March to War Set, that will cost 100 Microsoft Points and will unlock new formations, the Scatterswarm, Goblet and Catapult, especially designed to grant fresh tactical options in battle.

The Price of Lies is set to arrive on December 22 and will be free. It is set to add even more difficult guild tasks for players to tackle.

The Last Remnant has been created by Square Enix and offers gamers the chance to play the role of Rush, who has to leave his secluded island in order to find his kidnapped sister, Irina. Of course, as he begins his quest, he is drawn into a larger battle which involves control over powerful artifacts called Remnants.
