We don't know how many of you still remember turntables and vinyl LPs or listen to them for that matter. Many of you might say that it's pointless to use cumbersome devices and to risk scratching the discs. Because this is the truth, no matter how advanced the turntable the disc will get scratched. That was the case until now, because warm sound lovers are able to purchase (for enormous sums of money) a turntable which allows them to listen to LPs for as long as they like without scratching them.

We are talking about the laser turntable from Audio Turntable, whose motto is "No Needle, No Wear." The device looks like a CD-player for hi-fi audio sound system, but instead of CDs, the tray is loaded with an LP.

And that's not all; since there is no mechanical component to come in contact with the vinyl material, everything relying on laser, the user can use the remote control to select the desired track or to program songs.

Unfortunately, every innovative device has a matching price, the models being available for sums ranging from 15 to 19 thousand dollars. But if you are among those who love that LP sound, perhaps this would be a good time to take out a loan.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
