The King of Fighters 2003 Secrets and Unlockables (PS2)

The King of Fighters 2003 is the tenth game in The King of Fighters series. It is the last King of Fighters game to be based on the Neo-Geo MVS hardware, and the first game in the series developed and published by SNK Playmore under their current moniker. As indicated by the game's name, it takes place two years after the last canon King of Fighters game, The King of Fighters 2001.

According to the game's storyline, a new King of Fighters tournament is organized by an unknown host. The new tournament instituted several new rules, including a whole new team system. In the game, this reflected in the series' switch to tag-team fighting a la the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Here's a list of unlockables and secrets from this neat fighting game:



Unlockables

Adelheid and Mukai
In order to select Adelheid and Mukai you have to beat them in Arcade Mode (any difficulty settings)

To reach Adelheid - Defeat Kusanagi(Mid-boss) without a DM (using a normal move). You will face Adelheid as your final boss.

To reach Mukai - Defeat Kusanagi(Mid-boss) with a DM. You will face Mukai as the final boss.

Play as Adelheid - In the character select screen highlight Iori and press and hold down R1

Play as Mukai - In the character select screen highlight Kyo and press and hold down R1

Unlock character art and videos in gallery

Go through 1 round of s-survival (single) beating each character once to unlock individual character art in gallery

Go through 1 round of t-survival (team) beating each team once to unlock team ending videos in the gallery. Beating Kyo, Chizuru, Adel and Mukai will unlock generic videos which you usually see before and after fighting them.

Secrets

Hidden Orochi/Sacred Three Ending
Select Kyo, Iori, and Chizuru then play through Team Battle until you reach Kusanagi. Follow the Mukai path by beating Kusanagi with a DM. Once you beat Mukai you will be treated to a ending cinema involving the Orochi seal and those 3 whose destiny is to keep it sealed (reminiscent of KoF 97). This appears to be the true ending, so grab a seat and get ready for the fight of your life!
