Complain all you want, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West not only got their wish to be featured on the cover of Vogue, but they also look like they're going to make a lot of money for the magazine. Sources from the industry are certain that the controversy is going to boost sales of the April issue, making it one of the top-selling of all time for the publication.

Page Six is saying that the negative backlash from people such as Sarah Michelle Gellar isn't going to stop people from buying the magazine on newsstands. Media sources have forecast that the Kim K issue is going to pass the 300,000 to 400,000 copies mark, which is putting it up there with some of the best sold issues that featured Beyonce and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Just to give you an idea, Beyonce's cover from March 2013 sold 355,000 copies, while the issue featuring Michelle Obama on the cover just under 300,000. As expected, Vogue had no comment on the issue, saying that “[We] never comment on sales figures.”

This is despite the fact that some people were so outraged at the cover that they not only canceled their subscriptions to the fashion magazine, but they also bragged about it on social media and told others to do the same.

At the time the news first came out, there was a lot of negative feedback, with even some people with the magazine whispering that the cover was tacky and low brow. Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief for Vogue was the one who got the brunt of the scandal, as she was blasted that she gave in to Kanye's demands.

It had been rumored that Kanye had hounded Wintour for months to put Kim on the cover until she finally relented, but under one condition: that Kanye be featured along with her. It's a known fact that Wintour has the greatest respect for Kanye, whom she sees as a driving creative force, whereas for Kim, well, let's just say that she's not that crazy about Kim.

Now, if the specialists are right, and they seldom are wrong, Kim and Kanye are going to be doing the victory dance for some time if their Vogue issue turns out to be a best seller, proving once and for all that the world simply can't get enough of them, and that everything they touch instantly turns into gold.
