14 DAY TRIAL // The Kardashian clan is very upset that First Lady Michelle Obama would go on record saying her husband Barack doesn't let their girls watch the Kardashian reality show. The girls could actually stand to win from becoming fans, they believe.
In a recent interview with iVillage, Mrs. Obama revealed that her two girls would watch the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality show but their father doesn't allow them to.
“Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians – when they watch that stuff – he doesn't like that as much,” Mrs. Obama said.
While this wasn't actually a diss in the basic sense of the word, having the First Lady express disapproval of something you do in an interview for a major publication is no small thing.
Consequently, the Kardashians are taking it personally, TMZ has learned.
The girls (presumably the show's three main stars, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe) are telling friends that there's absolutely no reason for Mr. Obama to hate their TV show – because there's nothing wrong with it.
They insist “the President has them pegged all wrong. The K-squad is telling friends they read Michelle's new interview with iVillage” and were shocked by what they read.
“We're told the Kardashians were 'surprised' by the news, because Obama personally told Khloe he thought 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' was a 'great show' when they met last year,” TMZ writes.
Khloe was visiting the White House as her husband Lamar Odom's date, but this is the first time that word gets out in the press that Obama said this to her about the reality show.
“In fact, the Kardashians believe Sasha and Malia could actually LEARN something from the show, because it features girls in real-life situations facing real-life problems... health, relationships, the whole gamut,” TMZ further writes.
Of course, Barack Obama isn't the only high profile figure to dislike – and go on the record saying so – the Kardashians.
Just recently, Cher took to her Twitter page to blast the entire family, saying they should all be “drop kicked down a freeway,” as we also informed you at the time.
