The long-awaited The Journey Down: Chapter Two point-and-click adventure game has been launched and players will get to continue the tale of Bwana and Kito.

When the first chapter of The Journey Down was released back in 2013, the players were charmed by the unique design and interesting story. It took the developers more than a year to release the second part of the adventure, but they have promised that it's all worth it.

The guys from SkyGoblin, the studio making the game, took in consideration all the input from the community and they decided to rebuild the game instead of just releasing a new chapter fast. In fact, Chapter Two could have been ready a long time ago, but the devs wanted to make the users happy and they have delayed the launch.

The entire game comprises three different chapters. The first one was called Over the Edge, the second one is called Into the Mist, and the third one has yet to receive a name.

The Journey Down follows the adventures of Bwana and Kito, two guys that find themselves drawn into an adventure and into the search for another realm called the Underworld. One of the most interesting aspects of the game is the fact that the developers crated another world, different in some aspects and similar in others, that is both fantasy and real.

All the characters have African masks instead of faces, but for some strange reason it works perfectly in the context of the game. The drawings and the animations are exquisite and players will definitely feel that they are playing something unique.

“Far below the noisy metropolis of St. Armando, Bwana follows in the footsteps of his lost father together with Kito and Lina. In their search for the mysterious Underland, they discover a dark conspiracy shrouding the fate of Captain Kaonandodo.”

“In the second chapter, the plot thickens as our heroes plunge down into the mist below the Edge and wind up in the foggy and treacherous town of Port Artue where they find themselves cornered by pirates and on the run from the law. The Journey Down is a three-part point-and-click saga with an afro-noir vibe. Get ready to embark on an epic journey of brain-teasing adventure!” reads the game's synopsis.

If you didn't have a chance to play the first game in the series, you have to know that The Journey Down: Chapter Two is now available on Steam for Linux with a 90% discount. Also, the second part of the game benefits from a 10% discount that will last until September 1.

Keep tuned because the Linux review for The Journey Down: Chapter Two is landing soon.
