Redesigning their logo marks a new start for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have hit a rough patch revenue-wise, in the last years.
ESPN, quoting team president Mark Lamping, informs that the new Jaguar logo is fiercer, more modern and more lifelike. To me, it looks like, although there have been some slight modifications here and there, the team is afraid of major changes.
The logo will be used on its own or emblazoned on a military style badge, which can be seen on the right. The second option includes the shorter, friendlier “Jags“ nickname.
The Jaguars ranked 29th among 2011's top-grossing NFL franchises. They plan to turn that around, starting from offering fans a better experience at the stadium. EverBank is getting new seats and the largest scoreboard of any football field in the U.S.
