Well, a hot as hell piece of news at the end of my work day: the world's first mobile phone docking station, made by a legendary manufacturer for a legendary phone manufacturer: the JBL On Call 5310, made for the Nokia 5310
Express Music edition.

Now, streaming music content from your mobile phone to some speakers has been done a long time ago and there is nothing that spectacular there.
But the JBL On Call 5310 is truly something different as we are dealing with a system that's more than an external speaker/set of speakers: it comes as a docking station with full functionality! Namely it plays the music content from your Nokia 5310 Express Music mobile phone and it charges the phone battery during playback, pretty much like every iPod docking station does.

Besides the fact that the JBL On Call 5310 has absolutely killer looks, it sports a perfect visual integration with your phone and your room décor as it can be placed almost anywhere because of its small dimensions. Yet one more reason for being happy is that this dock comes from JBL: there is no compromise to the sound quality.

It's clear that JBL have put a lot of care and efforts in designing this neatest gadget and according to the early data, the JBL On Call 5310 can really make your music sound as it sports a max level higher that anyone could expect from such diminutive gear.

Details to match the Nokia phine it has beed developed for.

It runs with two 3W Odyssey drivers and sports a jack aux-in for easy connection with everything sporting a similar plug: MP3 players, CD/MD players, iPods, PC or Mac, desktops or laptops alike. Even more, it sports an integrated amplifier and a computer-controlled EQ. The JBL On Call 5310 will become available in November 2007 and the price is yet TBA. For those of you out there thinking to buy a Nokia phone, just wait until November and you'll be most grateful.
