Who will get the $15,000 big prize?

The International Mobile Gaming Awards Association announced the final 25 nominees for this year's competition. The nominees are divided in five categories: Excellence in Connectivity, Excellence in 3D, Excellence in Game Play, Best licensed IP-based Game and Best Casual Game.

IMGA offers $40,000 in cash to the winners as well as mobile phones, trips and other prizes. The 2007 International Mobile Gaming Grand Prix winner will receive $15,000 while the winners for the five above mentioned categories will receive $5,000 each. The games nominated for Excellence in Connectivity are: "Tropictos", Flash game, by Iks Mobile form Poland; "Chess a moment " for Java (J2ME), by G-Mode from Japan; "The Truth" for Java (J2ME), by IM ANIMAL STUDIO from China; "Mobile Touch Stratego" for Java (J2ME), by TNO from Netherlands; "Pass It On!" for Symbian, by W30 from Singapore.

The Excellence in 3D nominees are: "Metal Gear Solid Mobile", Brew game, by IdeaWorks3D from USA; "WRC 3D", Brew game, by Firemint from Australia; "Prey Mobile 3D", Brew game, by Machineworks Northwest LLC from USA; "7 Days" for Symbian, by Dingoo Games from China; "ONE Sequel" for N-Gage, by Digital Legends form Finland.

The nominees for Excellence in Game Play: "Championship Manager 2008" for Java (J2ME), by Dynamo Games Ltd from Scotland; "Ninja Strike" for Symbian, by EyeSight Mobile Technologies from Israel; "Ghosts in the Machine" for Windows, by Anino Mobile from Philippines; "Dirk Spanner and The Fallen Idol" for N-Gage, by JadeStone from Finland; "Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep" for N-Gage, by Infinite Dreams from Canada.

For the Best licensed IP-based Game, the nominees are: "The Crystal Maze" for Java (J2ME), by Dynamo Games Ltd from Scotland; "Office Games 2", Brew game, by Indiagames from India; "Rounders Poker", Brew game, by Nazara Technologies from India; "Ratatouille: Cheese Rush" for Java (J2ME), by Universomo from Finland; "Furby Island" for Java (J2ME), by LemonQuest from Spain.

And the nominees for Best Casual Game: "Dip" for Java (J2ME) by Anino Mobile from Philippines; "Doggy Spanish" for Java (J2ME), by Com2us for Republic of Korea; Mr. Ice Cream, Flash-based game, by Pixelthis from New Zealand; "The Gridleys", Brew game, by Ziggurat Interactive from USA; and "Treasure Arm" for Java (J2ME), by Tequila Mobile form Poland.

The IMGA jury has to select 6 winners, for the Grand Prix and for the five categories. Winners will be announced on 13th February 2008 at the 4th International Mobile Gaming Awards Ceremony held in Barcelona.
