“The Imitation Game” is the next big film that has Benedict Cumberbatch fans swooning already. The first trailer has just been released, and already critics are clamoring in anticipation of that first screening, since it tells the exciting tale of Alan Turing.

Turing was a mathematical genius who proved vital for breaking the dreaded Enigma code used by the Nazis during WWII. However, not everyone is excited to see the movie. One example would be Andrew Hodges, Alan Turing's biographer, who also wrote the book the movie is based on.

In his discussion to the Sunday Times, Hodges points out that the movie, in which Keira Knightley plays Turing's girlfriend, is full of “alarming inaccuracies.” The first one being specifically his relationship with the character played by Keira.

The biographer reveals that the producers have exaggerated the love affair between the two and made a fictional connection between Turing and a notorious spy. Hodges himself should know a thing or two about Turing since he's an Oxford Maths academic in real life.

Believe or not, but the biographer also has a problem with the casting. He thinks Keira Knightley is way too pretty to portray her real-life counterpart, “I’m not being rude about her, but Joan Clarke was no glamourpuss.”

The film is directed by Morten Tyldum and has been named as the opening feature of the London Film Festival in October, indicating that there's a lot of hype surrounding the production.
