Non-profit organization America for Animals is determined to make it easier for people to support animal rights.

To this end, the group plans to release a new app that would make it easier for folks to locate an animal-friendly restaurant when looking to enjoy a meal in town.

As detailed in the video below, the app is part and parcel of the organization's The Humane Eating Project. Its purpose is to help people locate vegan, vegetarian or simply humane restaurants.

The people behind the initiative hope that, once the app becomes available, more people will choose to dine in places that are not in any way linked to animal cruelty.

“The goal is to make it easy to make humane choices, and to also increase overall awareness about eating humanely,” explains Jonathan Wadley, the founder and CEO of America for Animals.

America for Animals has already designed the app, but needs more funds in order to move forward with the execution of the project.

Hoping to get some help from animal lovers not just in the United States, but also from other parts of the world, the organization has launched a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.

The campaign aims to raise $15,000 (€11,036), and has 37 days left to go. If you feel like helping America for Animals, head over to Indiegogo and donate.
