14 DAY TRIAL // You needn't have seen “The Wolf of Wall Street” to find the Honest Trailer made by Screen Junkies funny. In their usual style, they proceed to tear apart the Oscar-nominated movie, poking fun at everything in sight: the director, the cast, the script and everything else in between.
The first thing that grabs their attention is the ridiculously high number of F-Bombs dropped throughout the entire movie. Actually, the movie beat the previous record to become the most foul-mouthed film to date.
They, of course, had to poke fun at the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio failed to win an Oscar again this year, and not only that, but the movie actually features Matthew McConaughey, the man who did go home with the prize.
The trailer also brings into question the fact that Leo does a lot of screaming in the movie and the fact that, despite his memorable performance, he still went home empty-handed on the night of the Oscars, calling him “Leonardo NoOscaro.”
Whereas Martin Scorsese, Leonardo and Jonah Hill will cringe while watching this satirical trailer, for the rest of us, it's good, not-so-clean fun that we can all share about what still is one of the best movies of 2013.
