The Holy Bible Plays Your MP3sDigital Bible Player from Xell |

The first thing that came to my mind when I've come across this title was the image of a usual Bible (yep, that little black book) pimped up with speakers and playing today's (rather unholy) songs. However, the truth of the matter is even stranger than
my imagination. Thus, it seems that the Koreans from Xell have been offering an electronic bible for years now, but their latest model looks more like one of the many PMPs hitting the Seoul market than a holy object.
And not only does it look like an entertainment-oriented device, but it also acts like one. Thus, the device features an MP3 player (probably for hymns and gospel songs), an FM tuner (in order to listen to all those religious stations) and also an e-book reader (slot SD), which will probably help you study other various religious literature. Moreover, the device even allows you to record the words of your priest or pastor, so that you'll be able to listen to the Sunday sermon all week long, whenever you want to.
Nevertheless, leaving aside all these "worldly" features, the Digital Bible Player from Xell does its job of presenting the Bible in an electronic format quite well, as it allows the reader to scroll over the pages, search certain specific paragraphs and even comes packed with the Holy Bible in audio format. Even if this device is quite interesting, its price, of around 165 Euro, is a bit steep for my taste, and I'd rather get a normal, paper Bible (well, at least for the sake of the argument) than one of these things. But, then again, in just a few years, electronic Bibles will become mainstream, so I might as well prepare.
