Although most people see Apple and Microsoft as fierce rivals, there’s no doubt that officials of the companies are getting along very well, even if they’re fighting for the same audience.

And this video is actually the proof that there was a time when Microsoft’s officials had absolutely no problem attending an Apple conference and even give rivals a hand when trying to promote their products.

In this case, Bill Gates attended the Macintosh Software Dating Game in October 1983 and, although some believe that Microsoft’s founder regrets this, it was actually Gates’ very own way to show the world that his Redmond-based software company can face any competition.

So have a look at the video, laugh if you want, but keep in mind that this actually is history in the making. These guys have created two of the most powerful technology companies in the world.
