If you’re anything like me, you’ll watch whatever horror movie comes your way just to have even more arguments to prove that the genre is long spent, while allowing yourself to be pleasantly surprised whenever the opportunity arises.

The 2009 film “The Haunting in Connecticut” has apparently spanned a sequel, the somewhat awkwardly titled “The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia,” which just got a brand new trailer.

You can see it in full above.

This seems pretty standard, budget fare, but I have to admit there’s something about those ghosts that shows promise. Moreover, who knows, maybe this film will prove a surprise, since we all know that trailers can be misleading like that.

The film is directed by Tom Elkins (“The Apparition”), and stars Katee Sackhoff, Chad Michael Murray, and Abigail Spencer. It’s yet to get an official release date in the US.
