Starting tomorrow, Saturday, October 1st, the HTC Flyer tablet PC will be cheaper when purchased from Best Buy.

The leading retailer has just announced that they plan on significantly cutting the price tag for this device, bringing it down to only $299.99 (around 225 Euros) from the $499.99 (approximately 370 Euros) it is priced at the moment.

The retailer also announced that the price tag is not a temporary one. “Customers can take advantage of this permanent lower price online at BestBuy.com and at all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile standalone stores nationwide,” the retailer announced.

The HTC Flyer tablet PC sports a high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen display and is powered by a fast 1Ghz application processor.

The handset also comes with 16GB of internal memory, and offers WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, as well as GPS receiver, and more.

The tablet PC is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, yet its manufacturer promised an update to the Honeycomb OS flavor, which was designed specifically for the larger screen of tablets. The tablet PC also offers a light-weight, portable design, and combines it with the features and capabilities that its HTC Sense user interface has to offer.

With it, users will enjoy access to content such as videos, music, games and more, all looking great on the large screen of this device.

“Best Buy is advancing growth of the tablet category by combining the most tablets under one roof with a shopping experience that allows customers to easily try and compare devices,” Best Buy notes.

“The retailer is committed to delivering superior value and convenience by presenting a full line of accessories with each device, along with exclusive advantages such as tablet selection and connections support from specially trained Best Buy Blue Shirts, financing options, Reward Zone points, and tablet trade-in and Buy Back programs.”
