The Guardian has just updated its Android application in order to make it smoother and faster. The new version of the application promises users a better reading experience, along with loads of new features.

First of all, the application has a new look and a new Android action bar, which allows users easier and quicker access to options, home and related content.

In addition, The Guardian app for Android features new and improved articles and live blogs for a smoother reading experience.

Devs also added new features to support displaying data and interactives, as well as lots of bug fixes and stability improvements.

The Guardian 2.2.63 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
