If you like Grumpy Cat, you’re going to love this: Grumpy (which is actually Tardar Sauce’s stage name) will be getting her own movie. After taking over the Internet, Grumpy will finally be getting a voice, thanks to an upcoming project.

Deadline reports that the film will be Garfield-style, in that it will offer this cranky feline a voice.

“Broken Road’s Todd Garner and Sean Robins, and Grumpy Cat’s reps (manager Ben Lashes and rep Al Hassas) have teamed up to produce and assemble a package for a Garfield-like feature film with the famous frowning feline at the center,” the movie-oriented publication says.

Garner says that there is serious potential for comedy there – and those who have been keeping an eye on Grumpy Cat online know that.

“This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy. You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character,” he explains.

For the time being, the Grumpy Cat pic doesn’t have a release date but, I for one, will be making sure to catch it in theaters.
