The latest horror movie from Eli Roth, aptly named “The Green Inferno,” aims to take the modern scary flick from the comfort and safety of the urban setting into the wild surroundings of the jungle. Out there too there are things lurking in the shadows, scary things that can kill.

The first trailer offered very little film footage and was only meant as a precursor to this second video, one that was aimed at just setting the mood. A few essential elements were presented so we could pick up on the plot.

A group of young activists travel into the jungles of Peru to save the rain forest but, after their plane crashes deep in the forest, they find themselves trapped by a tribe of cannibals who have a lot of twisted things in store for them.

In many ways, this film is a remake of the classic horror movie “Cannibal Holocaust,” or at least that's how many fans see the production based on the plot and the trailers, but Eli Roth, the director, claims to have many other scary things in store.

At the end of the trailer we find out that the team has really struggled to find authenticity. A text warning reads, “Filmed on location in the rainforest of Peru. The native tribe featured in this motion picture has never been filmed before.”

The truth of that statement can't be yet proven.
