The Great Nintendo Nunchuck Prohibition

Adjust text size:

With the Nintendo Wii just in, the first problems have started to appear. Not taking into consideration all the pre-launch problems, lines and rumors about lack of DVD functionality, some other Wii issues have come up.

Gamers all across the U.S. are complaining about the fact that they didn't get to buy a Wii
nunchuck with the whole package. Apparently, we are going back to the days of the alcohol prohibition, at least regarding Wii nunchucks. Several gaming websites are reporting, including Joystiq, that gamers have encountered serious problems when they wanted to purchase a nunchuck to go along with their Nintendo next-gen.

If you live in the Atlanta area and want to get a Wii nunchuck, try to avoid Targets, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, The Fry's, Circuit City and Com-USA stores, if you want to keep your mental sanity. Apparently, they don't sell nunchucks nor have they ever seen one.

Your normal reaction is to go online and try to get a matching nunchuck for your Wii-mote, but you won't catch a break there either. Amazon.com doesn't have any Nintendo nunchucks, and frankly, I'm terrified of hitting eBay to see any auctions. I'm certain that they're selling them for much. Much more than what they actually worth.
