14 DAY TRIAL // It's here: the first trailer for Baz Lurhmann's latest visual extravaganza, “The Great Gatsby,” has been released. You can see it in full and in HD above – but be prepared for major awesomeness.
Starring a stellar cast, which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and newcomer Elizabeth Debicki, the film is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1924 novel best described as the “ultimate American tale.”
However, this being Lurhmann, don't expect a film that follows the book closely.
Instead, expect stunning colors, over the top sets and overdramatic scenes, set to beautiful, stirring music – and, of course, impeccable performances.
“The Great Gatsby” arrives in theaters this year, on Christmas Day and pardon us for saying, there's no better present than that.
