Not only the mobile and desktops workstations world passes through 'a sunny revolution' that features supercomputers delivering the power of no less than thousands of teraflops, but also the peripherals planet, that is redesigned to better fit today's futuristic trends.
Consequently, a new 'peripheral get-together gadget' (that features a board with an optical mouse and a keyboard, both attached to the surface) will be showcased at one of the most important IT & C fairs taking place also in Germany as the famous CeBIT - the Games Convention (GC 2006), which will be held August 24-27, at the Leipzig Fair Exhibition Center in Leipzig.
The designer of the innovative but not so full-featured peripheral board is Phantom Entertainment that will be found in the Freaks 4U booth, a well-known marketing firm, along with its latest development - the peripheral board named Phantom Lapboard. The company will exhibit exclusively prototypes of the Phantom Lapboard produced by Itron Technology before they will go into a rapid mass production, as the products are due to be shipped in November.
"GC 2006 will provide the Phantom Lapboard a strong presence in the European marketplace," said Thomas Gunther, Freaks 4U's Director. "As a featured product in the Freaks 4U booth, the Phantom Lapboard will be showcased as a combination wireless keyboard, optical mouse and hard surface that delivers convenient and compelling home entertainment features."
The Lapboard is a wireless one, with ergonomic design, one-touch features, programmable keys and a wireless optical laser mouse. The Lapboard's futuristic design features a keyboard that rotates 360 degrees to house left- or right-handed users and inclines on a 22-degree angle with a hard surface below for the Phantom Optical Mouse.
The Lapboard provides USB and headphone/microphone ports. As I previously told you, there is nothing much about the Phantom Lapboard's except for an interchangeable key-face technology which is designed for game-specific and business software applications.
